Part one consists of several discourses and question and answer sessions which concisely define many of the concepts unique to Bawa Muhaiyaddeen's teachings. Part two is filled with over two hundred lively stories and parables, which illustrate many of the subtle points of life on the spiritual path.

These interactions took place when Bawa Muhaiyaddeen lived among the mainly Hindu population of northern Sri Lanka. Therefore, many of the translated terms come from the Hindu understanding of life and the Divine.

This book is an excellent bridge for those who have studied Hinduism and would like insight into Sufism.
